-ABOUT COLEMAN BOYD-

Coleman Boyd has been a born-again Christian for the past 33 years. His love for God and for his neighbor has influenced every aspect of his life—including his decision to run for Mississippi Senate District 26. He wears many hats: husband, father of 13, pastor, ER physician, missionary, small farmer, and small business owner. Through these roles, he has learned to work hard and trust God for wisdom in every situation—from saving lives in the ER, to leading mission teams to Asia and Ukraine, to shepherding his family and church, to tending crops and animals on the family farm, and cutting trees in his tree business. His broad range of experience both in the U.S. and abroad has reinforced a fundamental biblical truth: the government’s role is to punish evil and reward good. Period. When government oversteps its boundaries, citizens are burdened by taxes and debt. Worse yet, evil goes unchecked, and society spirals into moral decay. The greatest danger arises when government becomes tyrannical and strips us of our God-given freedoms. The result? A nation nearing collapse—$36 trillion in debt, awash in moral confusion. We are burdened with the guilt of innocent blood from abortion, sexual perversion (including pornography, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and gender delusion), drug and alcohol abuse, greed, idolatry, and theft. Disasters that once occurred “once in a thousand years” now happen almost weekly. Our enemies have infiltrated, and we are now hated by many within our own country—and even by our own government. What is to be done? Will tax relief solve this? Will empty promises to “drain the swamp” fix our nation—while adding more cess to the cesspool? No! There is ONE solution. God declares in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice—but when the wicked rule, the people groan. For too long, Republicans have promised smaller government while growing it, just a bit slower than liberals. Every promise is eroded by exceptions for “my area” or “my state.” Meanwhile, righteousness is ignored—abortion continues, and sexual perversion is paraded in the streets. Now is the time to act. Now is the time to elect a leader who will guide our district and our state toward true prosperity. ⸻ Early Life: Coleman is a born-and-raised Mississippian. His mother was a stay-at-home CPA, and his father a farmer. He grew up in central Mississippi with his three siblings—farming, hunting, fishing in the Mississippi River swamp, and playing sports. As a young man, he was full of curiosity and mischief. But after living in sin through age 20, he was radically transformed—born again as a new creation in Jesus Christ. ⸻ Christ’s Transformation: That transformation gave Coleman a purpose: to love God and love others. He earned a B.S. in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University and an M.D. from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. After post-graduate training in Family Practice, he and his family moved overseas to serve in Christian medical missions in India and China. Returning to the U.S., he began practicing ER medicine in rural Mississippi. The rest, as they say, is history. ⸻ Family Life: Coleman married the love of his life, Robin, in 2001. Together they’ve raised 13 children, ages 2–23. Four are adopted—including a son from China, two from the Canton, MS area, and their youngest from central Mississippi. ⸻ The Normal Christian Life: Coleman and his family live on a farm in central Mississippi in cooperative fellowship with several other families. Over the past 20+ years, they’ve built homes, roads, fences, and infrastructure—transforming what was once a barren soybean field into a fruitful oasis. Their goal has always been to raise children who work hard and trust God, provide a safe place for struggling singles and families to grow in Christ, and care for the fatherless through nurturing, housing, provision, and even adoption. ⸻ Church Life: In 2004, Coleman was sent out with others from his home church in Clinton, MS to plant a new church in North Hinds County. This became North Hinds Church—a simple fellowship of Spirit-filled, Bible-believing Christians who love God and their neighbors. Coleman serves as one of three pastors who lead through servant-hearted shepherding. ⸻ Missions: Since returning from their final stint in China in 2007, Coleman and Robin have continued missions work from their home in Bolton, MS. Coleman frequently leads teams—including his older children—to China, Thailand, and Ukraine to preach the Gospel and provide humanitarian aid. They also serve across the U.S., working with local churches, preaching in public spaces, and ministering outside abortion facilities. Though internationally active, their hearts remain anchored in local ministry—especially in Jackson and surrounding areas—where they regularly meet the physical and spiritual needs of neighbors. ⸻ Farm Life: Coleman and his family operate a small farm where they raise vegetables, beef, pork, chickens, and eggs. They sell at local farmers’ markets and use these opportunities to teach their children work ethic, business skills, and love for neighbor. He also runs a small tree-cutting business, where he and his children work side-by-side serving the community. ⸻ Why the Senate: Coleman’s broad life experience has compelled him to run for Mississippi State Senate in District 26. While he has no personal ambition to be a politician, duty compels him. From the ER to the streets, Coleman has witnessed the best and worst of society. Proverbs says: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” He has seen that reproach firsthand—through addiction, broken families, sexual sin, and the increasing scourge of abortion. Though Mississippi has no abortion clinics, more babies are killed today via mail-order pills than before Roe v. Wade was overturned. And Mississippi law gives full immunity to mothers who do so. Too many believe in a separation between government and religion. Many claim to trust God, but place their hope in government. Our founders did not believe this. From the Declaration of Independence to the Mississippi Constitution, they acknowledged Almighty God and our dependence on Him. Coleman believes the only path forward is repentance, humility, and prayer. ⸻ About the Duty of Government: Coleman believes government is created by God and its purpose is limited: to punish evil and reward good. Today, our government neglects this and meddles where it has no biblical authority. Coleman is running to restore that proper role. He believes laws should be passed immediately to: •Abolish abortion without exception and treat it as murder •Outlaw homosexual marriage and civil unions •Outlaw pornography •Redirect Mississippi tax dollars only to authorized functions: defense, roads, and justice •Refuse federal taxes for unauthorized government activity •Localize education and encourage homeschooling •Privatize education, funded by industry to align student preparation with real-world jobs •End government involvement in healthcare except to punish crime or promote good •Reform the penal system to speed up justice Ecclesiastes 8:11 warns: “When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.” He supports: •Swift death penalties for murderers, rapists, and kidnappers, upon testimony of 2–3 witnesses •Ending prison as a means of “rehabilitation”—humans are not animals •Abolishing punishment of victimless crimes (e.g., speeding tickets or insurance fines where no harm is done) •Restitution to victims, not payments to the state, in cases of theft or negligence •Removing all unnecessary government regulation from business, including: •Building permits •Capacity limits •Licensing (which should be handled by the private sector)
